LABOUR PARTY DANCE
PAPATOETOE BRANCH A very enjoyable dance was held in the Papatoetoe Town Hall on Monday evening-, under the auspices of the re-cently-formed Papatoetoe branch of the New Zealand Labour Partv. Supper-was provided by the" women members of the Puhinui area The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr. J. Smith, assisted bv Messrs Jones and Parfitt. A splendid musieai programme was given by an orchestra organised by Mr. Eric Marcroft. A number of musical items were contributed by Messrs. Parker, Gaffney and Elliott, and an exhibition of fancy dancing was given bv Miss Bailey, of Otahuhu. There were about SO couples present. During the evening Mr. J. Smith, of the Papatoetoe branch, extended thanks to the Otahuhu branch for its assistance, and also to the performers for the musical numbers.
