■ i B LENTIL SOUP B /A GREDIENTS : Six ounces of lentils, one quart of water, two B =e carrots , one turnip, one onion, B g one ounce of dripping, one ounce £ m of flour, half a pint of milk, a ----- B sprig of parsley, salt and pepper. B ■ Method : Wash the lentils and put || a them into a saucepan with the ijj vegetables, peeled and cut in B B slices, and the water. Cook all till Hj jp tender. Rub through a wire sieve, jp Put the dripping in the saucepan; = H when melted, add the flour, mix B ■ well together , and add the milk jp _ (made hot ) and the soup gradu- || =3 ally. Do not boil, but heat B P gradually. j|
