PAPAXURA TO HAMILTON PROPOSAL OF HIGHWAYS BOARD The Highways Board proposes to put down a bitumen-sealed road from the end of the concrete at Papakura to Hamilton. If the board and the local bodies concerned can reach an agreement the reforming of the road and the sealing can be completed in five years. In the meantime the suggested basis of agreement between the board and the local bodies is not being disclosed. Proposed improvements round Auckland are not confined to the Great South Road. The board is also making suggestions with regard to the northern roads.
