HARE BETS BANNED
BUT SPORT GOES ON (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 9.5 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. It has been decided by the New South Wales Cabinet that the law against betting at mechanical hare race meetings shall be enforced. The Greyhound Coursing Association intends to carry on despite the betting embargo, but bookmakers will be prohibited.
