At the lawn tennis tournament at Queen’s Club, in the men’s singles, in the final Tilden defeated Hunter, 6—3, 6 — 2, 6 — l. In the women’s singles, Miss Joan Ridley defeated Mrs. Nicolopoulo, 4 6, 6 — l, 6 — o. In the men’s doubles, in the finals,

Tilden and Hunter defeated Crawford and Hopman, 4 —G, G —l, B—G, G—S, 6 4. In the prior round Tilden and Hunter defeated Cochet and Lacoste, G—l, 6 —4. In the finals of the women’s doubles, Miss Eileen Bennett and Miss E. H. Harvey defeated Miss E. R. Clarke and Miss M. Thomas, G—2, 4—6, 6. —2. In the mixed doubles, Coen ifnd Fraulein Aussem defeated Norman Brookes and Baroness Reznicek, G—4, S—G. In the men’s restricted singles in the final Pennell defeated Esmond, B—6, 6—l. DAVIS CUP MATCH CZECHO-SLOVAKIA AND ITALY IN FINAL (Australian P.A.—United Service) LONDON, Saturday. .At Prague in the Davis Cup match Czecho-Slovakia defeated Holland by throe matches to two and will now meet Italy in the European zone final. In the singles Timmer (Holland) defeated Kozeluh (Czecho-Slovakia), g 2,2 G. 6 —2, G—4, Macenauer (Czecho-Slovakia) defeated Van Lennep (Holland), 6 —2, 6—2, G—2. In the doubles Timmer and Van Lennep defeated Kozeluh and Macenauer. 6—3, 3—g, G —3, G —4. Czecho-Slovakia had won the first two singles.
