CLICK CLACK CABARET

The ‘‘Click Clack” ballroom and lounge presented a very gay appearance on Saturday evening, when excellent music was supplied by Walter Smith's Band and much enjoyed by tlie large throng of dancers. KITCHEN EVENING Miss Marjory Clements and Mr. Roy Harris, two popular young people of the district, were entertained at a kitchen evening in the Kakipuku Hall by their many friends on the eve of their marriage. Mesdames Cummins and Fear, and Misses E. Jones and W. Fear provided excellent music for dancing. After supper, Mr. C. J. Dew congratulated the bride and bridegroom to be, and asked them to accept the large and varied assortment of useful articles for their new home. ATHENIAN CLUB The members of the Athenian Club held a very successful social evening and dance in the Amateur Operatic Society’s hall on Saturday evening, when the Misses Marmont acted as hostesses. The hall was artistically decorated, and a very enjoyable programme had been arranged, including items by the following atists: —Miss Bettina Edwards and her black and white ballet; Nell, the Bohemian; the Bohemian Trio, Miss W. Cook, Mr. Birrell O’Malley, Mr. Ralph Eskrigge, Mr. Arthur Allen, Mr. A. Gracie, Mr. Eric Maxwell and Mr. Ron. Muston.
