Orphan’s Misfortune

DESTITUTE IN CITY EMPTY PROMISE OF WORK Frederick Morgan, an orphan, aged 18, lured to Auckland by an empty promise of work, is now stranded. Morgan was charged at the Police Court to-day with being idle and disorderly. Sub-Inspector McCarthy said accused came from Taranaki, believing he would obtain employment in Auck - | land. The work was not forthcoming, j and the boy, an orphan, was now destitute. j The charge was dismissed, and in ! the meantime Morgan will be cared for by the Salvation Army.
