Man Run Over and Killed In Strike Riot at Sydney
(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Kecd. 10.30 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. DURING a. fierce fight on the waterfront between seamen and waterside workers, arising out of the cooks’ strike, a motor-car ran over and killed one of the combatants. The driver was menaced by the crowd. He abandoned the ear and escaped in a taxi. The dying man experienced great pain while his companions were crudely trying to set his badly-broken leg.
