MUD LARKS A FTER the wet weather experienced this week the racing circuit at Alexandra Park to-mor-row cannot be otherwise than heavy, and speculators will naturally show a tendency to be a bit with those competitors who have displayed an aptitude for such conditions. Last June the track was in a similar state and several that handled it to good advantage returned first dividends, and are engaged to-morrow. These are: Loch Moigh : Appeal, Mars, Lady Dunmore, Betty Moko (2), Floraline, Harold Thorpe, Uncle Bert, Cardinal Logan and Reremai. Second placings were secured by Tamerlane, The Tartar (2), Hohoro, Imprint and Luvan. Peter Swift and Peterwah also showed marked ability when at Alexandra Park during the Christmas carnival, to manipulate the soft track which was in evidence on the middle day of the session. Both were returned winners and Raima and Taipare also saluted the judge the same day.
