MERELY OVERLOOKED

THE comedy of Wilkie Bard has -*■ been replaced by fact in Auckland. Wilkie Bard was engaged on sentry go, and everyone had forgotten to inform him that the war he was engaged on had been over for many years. Last year when the drought set in in Auckland instructions were given that the fountain in Albert Park must be turned off. So far no one has remembered to give instructions that it be turned on again. However, the Parks Committee will consider this serious omission next week. Probably the fountain will play again soon.
