MELBOURNE-BLUFF RUN
NO CHANGE IN SERVICE DUNEDIN PROTESTS FAIL Press Associaion. DUNEDIN, Thursday. In reply to representations of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce urging the Government to support its protest concerning the withdrawal of the Manuka from the Melbourne-Bluff run, the Prime Minister lias telegraphed as follows: “I took the matter up with the authorities of the Union Company, who are unable to make other arrangements. They state the Manuka is required to undergo overhaul and survey, and has been temporarily replaced by ta cargo boat. I regret my inability to move the company to a more satisfactory service.”
