(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (United Service)
Reed. 11 a.m. COLOMBO, Wednesday. The steamer Jervis Bay, which is approaching Colombo from Australia, has sent a wireless message to the warship Enterprise, appealing for help, as a band of eight desperate stowaways is creating trouble. The Enterprise is unable to help, as the majority of her crew are at camp. She sent a reply explaining the posi-
tion, and requesting the Jervis Bay to send a message, if it were found impossible to cope with the stowaways. The Jervis Bay is at present about 700 miles from Colombo, and is expected to reach port on Saturday. The Jervis Bay is one of the Commonwealth Line steamers, bought by the Kylsant interests to sail under the flag of the Aberdeen and Commonwealth Line.
