The Papakura Fire Brigade Committee met on Monday evening, Mr. H. E. McEntee, chairman, presiding. Also present were Mr. A. Willis, Dr. J. B. Page, Captain J. M. Richardson, Secretary C. H. Thorburn, Rev. W. C. Wood and the town clerk, Mr. H. L. Cooper. Before the business of the evening commenced, members stood in silence in memory of the late Mr. Percy Holt, a warm supporter of the brigade. The captain submitted his quarterly report, which stated that the brigade had been called out to three fires since the last report. Estimates totalling £9O were approved.
