BIRTHDAY DANCE

AT OHAKUNE The Joyland birthday dance held in the Railway Social Hall, Ohakune, on Saturday evening, was a very successful and most enjoyable function. The proceeds will be devoted to the Anglican Church Fund. The hall was attractively decorated with streamers, balloons and greenery, and during the evening fancy hats and squeakers were distributed. Mr. Pitkinsky carried out the duties of M.C. A Monte Carlo dance competition attracted a great deal of attention, and it was won by Miss Morris and Mr. H. Gould. A hidden treasure was found by Mr. Iv. Astley. Among those present were: Mrs. T. Gavin, in scarlet crepe de chine, with gold spray. Mrs. Ashley, shell-pink taffeta.
