“T ONLY wish some of our ratepayers had come to the meeting,” said Cr. F. J. H. Ellisdon in reporting to the Devonport Borough Council last evening on a meeting of lccal bodies held at the One Tree Hill Road Board offices to consider Hospital Board levies. “They would have seen how a road board, which has not even the dignity of a council, can provide adequate counci room accommodation. When I looked around the comfortably-furnished offices and meeting room I felt ashamed of Devonport’s poor old quarters,” he added.
