"I WILL BE IN HELL”

SAILOR’S LAST MESSAGE REMEMBERED WIFE BEFORE; ENDING LIFE "I will be in hell; but forgive t me my faults." These words, written in pencil on a crumpled piece of paper, were among the last written by Norman McLeod, a seaman, aged 40, who died in the Auckland Hospital on Sunday following the talcing of poison. The message was to his wife in Scotland, and there was a further one to his parents. At the inquest to-day a verdict of suicide was \ cturned.
