KINGSFORD SMITH’S FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND DEFINITE ANNOUNCEMENT Press Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. P. J. Rolleston, says that a message has been received from the Australian Air Board that Captain Kingsford Smith has publicly announced his intention of flying to New Zealand after his engine has been overhauled by an engineer now on the way from America, and probably after a flight to the west coast of Australia and back.
