LABOUR CANDIDATES CHOSEN PARNELL, ROSKILL AND EDEN Results of selection ballots to determine the Labour cahdidates for certain Auckland electorates Avere announced at Mr. H. E. Holland's meeting at the Town Hall last night. Candidates for the three electorates concerned will be: Roskill: A. S. Richards. Eden: W. T. Anderton. Parnell: J. W. Yarnall. Of these candidates, both Mr. Richards and Mr. Yarnall, the former an insurance agent, the latter a solicitor, have unsuccessfully stood for Parliament at other elections. Mr. Richards having been defeated at Hamilton and the Bay of Islands, and Mr. Yarnall at Roskill. Mr. Anderton, formerly a member of the Independent Labour Party, of England, is a new arrival in the Dominion. PARNELL ELECTORATE

SUPPORT FOR MR. DICKSON

A strong committee was set up at a meeting in the Remuera Public Library last evening to support Mr. J. S. Dickson, M.P. for Parnell, in his election campaign. Mr. J. B. Paterson Avas appointed chairman and Mr. H. O. Wiles vicechairman, and sub-committees for the separate districts were also formed. A resolution expressing continued confidence in Mr. Coates and the present Government was passed.
