When playing for the Country team in a Rugby football match at Opotiki on Saturday, K. Roe collided heavily with an opponent, and dislocated his shoulder. * * * In a Rugby football match on Saturday between Old Boys and Marist, a member of the latter team. McDonald, broke a leg. Mr. McDonald is married, and has four children. Three players were injured in the representative League match between Auckland and South Auckland at Carlaw Park on Saturday afternoon. W. Smith, of Huntly, had his back injured, and S. Raynor, also of Huntly, had several ribs broken. An Atiolcland player, S. Prentice, had his nose broken. Clarence Hoyte, of Polvan Road. St. Heliers, was taken to the Auckland Hospital suffering from concussion. His condition is improving. W. Watene, of Orakei, had several stitches inserted in a deep cut on his right knee. Both were playing in the St. HeliersKohimarama third-grade Rugby match at Mission Bay. Several minor injuries were attended to by the St. John Ambulance men stationed on the various grounds.
