DAY AND NIGHT OPERATION WANTED (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A. —United Service) Reed. 10.53 a.m. LONDON, Friday. The shipping conference adopted a resolution moved by Mr. Campbell, general counsel of the American Steamship Owners’ Association, pointing out that the volume of traffic in the Panama Canal now justified continuous operation of the canal day and night, and suggesting that representations be made to the American Government to extend the hours of operation.
