IPHE Australian-bred horse, West--1 ern King, greatly pleased spectators at Alexandra Park yesterday morning by the way he accomplished a task over eight furlongs. J. Shaw Had charge of the ribbons, and T. W. Cooper was behind Jewel Pointer, who was associated with his stablemate. The pace was on early and at the end of six furlongs there was nothing between them. Then Western King forged ahead and revelling in his work finished strongly several lengths in front of Jewel Pointer. The go was an attractive one and made many friends for the Rock Huon horse.
