PAEROA HOSPITAL
COUNCIL URGES MINISTER TO ACT (From Our Otott Correspondent) PAEROA, Friday. The vexed question of building a hospital at Paeroa was discussed again at tile meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council on Thursday evening. The Mayor, Mr. W. Marshall, said it was evident that the Thames Hospital Board did not intend to erect the hospital. He moved: “That this council forward to the Minister of Health its sincere appreciation of the stand that he has taken in the matter of the erection of a maternity hospital at Paeroa, and in view of the attitude of the Thames Hospital Board toward the Minister’s definite request this council earnestly petitions the Minister to proceed with the erection of the institution at an early date. The resolution was carried unanimously.
