WAITbMATA WOMEN’S LEAGUE With the object of raising funds to supply eye-glasses for school children whose parents cannot afford to buy them and also to make a nucleus for a dental clinic for the North Shore, an enjoyable concert, organised by the 55 aitemata Women’s Progressive League, was held in Daly’s Hall, Takapuna, last evening. An instructive lantern lecture on “Persia and Mesopotamia,” was given by Mr. Tisdale. Other items were given by Miss M. Cooper-Smith, Mr. C. Feaver and Mr. F. Sutherland.
