Australian rules, in Sydney a few days ago, produced two free fights among the spectators, trouble between a player and a spectator, a near-fight between players, and then so much heat on the field of play that the central umpire had to hold up the game for several minutes while the players cooled down. There surely are some fast runners in the United States. An American paper .reports that Ed Glooge, star half-miler of the University of Southern California, had to be taken to hospital, after running a half-mile in a relay race, for which he was unofficially clocked at lmin 54 9-10 sec. It was reported that he had scorched both his lungs!
