CAPITOL
“QUALITY STREET” Uproarious action, a strong comedy theme in which is also human in its application, the inimitable Langdon pantomime and a succession of “gags” that are guaranted to tear hearty laughter from anyone combine to make Harry Langdon’s latest comedy now being shown at the Capitol Theatre, one of the most delightful bits of entertainment of the year. “The Chaser,” as his most recent vehicle is called, revolves around the adventures and difficulties of a husband who is almost “kissless.” Osculatory starvation, a theory of handling husbands evolved by a stern mother-in-law, seems to work for a time; but when finally Harry does embark on a kissing campaign, what happens is a positive panic. “Quality Street” is the second feature. This is the picturisation of Sir James Barrie’s story of England in Napoleonic times and stars Marion Davies and Conrad NageL
