NEW TIME-TABLE
EAST COAST RAILWAY TO OPERATE FROM MONDAY The Railway Department advises in this issue of The Sun the new timetable which will operate on the new line to Tauranga. Up to the present the service has been a tri-weekly one between Waihi and Tauranga, but from Monday a daily service will be run. Two trains will leave Tauranga for Auckland every day. An express will leave at 7.40 o’clock each morning, reaching Auckland at 4.53 o’clock in the afternoon. The second train will • leave Tauranga at 11 o'clock in the ! morning and will connect with trains which will enable passengers to reach Auckland at 11.2 p.m. Passengers or. the section between Tauranga and Taneatua will be well I catered for by trains which will connect with those leaving for Auckland. The Thames express, which leaves Auckland at 9.30 each morning, will be j cut out. and an express leaving Auck- ] land at 8.35 a.m. will take its place.
