FROM THE RIVER
An angler belonging to Tourcoign, in the North of France, recently caught a fish in the river, and on arriving home asked his wife to cook it for dinner. When preparing it for the pan the good lady was astonished to find a glittering stone in the fish’s stomach, which was pronounced by a jeweller to be a sapphire worth about £ls.
