AN ENGAGEMENT
The engagement is announced of Mabel Lorothy, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. de Malmanche, of Otangiwai, to Walter Thomas, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Taylor, of Matiere.
When tangerine-coloured face powder came in it was thought to be the final experiment in tliis line, but now an expert says that the latest thing is olive-green powder! Young American girls are taking to it, and it is said to give fair complexions a wonderful transparent pallor!
