AMERICAN SHIP CLAIMS RECORD AN AIRCRAFT-CARRIER (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A. —United Service) Reed. 10.10 a.m. WASHINGTON, Mon. In a report to the Navy Department, the airplane-carrier Lexington claimed a new ship speed record, when it ran 700 nautical miles from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday, averaging 29.22 knots.
