PRINCE EDWARD
“SECOND TO NONE” “Second to None,” the British naval film, produced by Britannia Films, Ltd. from a story by “Bartimeus,” and now showng at the Prince Edward Theatre, is based on a theme of the high sense of duty in all ranks of the senior service. It was the first film to be produced with the approval and co-opera-tion of the Admiralty. Some of its scenes were the first to be shot on H.M.S. Tiger, and a unique feature is that every scene which purports to take place on board a warship both above and below decks is real. The film has a big climax in graphic pictures of a sea battle. The cast includes Moore Marriott. Micky and Aggie Brantford, lan Fleming, Benita Hume, A. B. Imeson Johnny Butt and Alf Goddard. Miss Dale Austen, “Miss New Zealand,” will appear at the Prince Edward Theatre and give a charming lecturette on her experiences in Hollywood, in conjunction with “ ‘Miss New Zealand’ in Movieland,” the fascinating film record of her arrival in Hollywood, meeting the stars, studio sightseeing, and her screen tests, which earned for her a leading part in “The Bushranger.”
