BOWLING AT CAMBRIDGE
There was an attendance of over forty members at the annual meeting of the Cambridge Bowling Club. Mr. D. Lundon presided. The report showed that from a playing viewpoint the past season was the most successful one in the history of the club. The balance sheet showed that the year commenced with a debit of £49 and concluded with a debit of £56. The assets amounted to £IOO and liabilities to £SB. Trophies for the club competitions were presented to the following winners:—Senior championship, J. McIvor; first year championship, G. Headifen; Wright’s trophy, E. J. Easter; president’s pairs, G. Headifen and A. Pearce: consolation pairs. J. Miller and A. H. Nicoll; percentage fours, N. Sutherland. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. J. Ferguson; president, Mr. N. Butler; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. J. Lundon, H. McCathie and A. Pearce; committee, Messrs. A. Pearce, S. R. James, T. Boyce and other officers ex officio; secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. James; match committee, Messrs. F. Gibson, C. H. Cooper and G. Harris: selector, Mr. S. Armstrong: coach, Mr. F. Hague; delegate to South Auckland Centre, Messrs. Butler and S. R James.
