PRINCE EDWARD
“THE BLOOD SHIP” “Twelve Miles Out,” starring John Gilbert, will be shown to-night at the Prince Edward Theatre. “Twelve Miles Out” is a tale of adventure on the high seas, based on the latest factor in American life—the war
between the rumrunner and the revenue service. The thrilling race at sea, when the revenue men pursue a rum-runner’s sloop in a desperate race: the vicious battle staged by Gilbert and Ernest Torrence on t he smuggling boat: these are some of the high lights on the excitement side
of the ledger. Joan Crawford makes a charming heroine in a splendidly balanced piece of acting, and Torrence, as the villain, a strange mixture of sinister traits and whimsical humour, has a role that he rejoices in. “The Blood Ship,” an epic of the sea, starring Hobart Bosworth, will also be shown.
