OHAKUNE INTERESTS

There was a good attendance at the first shot of the Ohakune Gun Club, which was held on Mr. Goldfinch s property, Rangataua Road. Four handicap shoots and a consolation formed the programme and were won as follows:—First handicap: A. Webb 1, G. Veitch 2. Second handicap: G. Veitch 1, C. Lynch 2. Third handicap: J. Maries 1, G. Bretherton 2. Fourth handicap: G. Bretherton 1. Consolation: L. Peck 1, F. Woodward 2. The official opening takes place on July 1. The many friends of Mr. R. A. Robbie tendered him a farewell prior to his departure to the Wellington University. Mr. Robbie has been teaching in the Ohakune High School for a while, and has won a scholarship entitling him to the term of study which he is about to undertake.
