FELL BETWEEN MOVING TRAIN AND PLATFORM

MAN’S ARM BADLY INJURED

Rushing to board a train as it was leaving Avondale station about 7 o’clock this morning, Mr. Hector Park fell between the carriages and the platform. His left arm was badly injured, and it is feared at the Auckland Hospital that it will have to be amputated. No one on the station saw the accident, although some of the passengers noticed him fall. The train had already gathered speed and did not stop. The injured man was found on the track a few minutes later by one of the porters and was rushed to hospital by ambulance. Mr. Park lives at IS Windsor Road, Avondale. He has no relatives in the Dominion.
