PROMINENT CROSSCOUNTRY RUNNER MEETS WITH LEG INJURY

THE well-known Auckland cross-country runner, N. F. Cooper, sustained a severely sprained leg recently, and will not be able to compete again this season. He is second only to J. W. Savidan, as a steeplej chase man, and is present [Auckland I cross - country I champion, winning the title at the end of last season when Savidan did not compete. Cooler’s inability to run will severely weaken the Auckland team to travel south to Wanganui in August for the New Zealand cross-country championships.
