The following are the county cricket scores in the matches ended to-day: Playing against Middlesex Yorkshire in the first innings made 479 (Holmes 105, Sutcliffe 73, Oldroyd 108, Mitchell 105). Durston took seven wickets for 133. Middlesex in the first innings made 261 (Hendren 77, Macaulay four wickets for 45), and followed on and made 130. Rhodes took seven wickets for 39. Yorkshire won by an innings and S 8 runs. Against Derbyshire Essex in the first innings made 233 (O’Connor S 9, H. Morris 70, Douglas 50) and in the second 330 for seven wickets (O’Connor 91, Nichols 52). Derbyshire in the first innings made 552 (Bowden S2, Hutchinson 91, Worthington 133, Slater 54) Derbyshire won on the first innings. Against Surrey Lancashire in the first innings made 58S for four wickets (Watson 300 not out, K. Tyldesley 187). Surrey in the first innings made 567 (Sandham (retired hurt), 252, Ducat 119). Lancashire won on the first innings. Against Northamptonshire Kent in the first innings made 276 (Woolley 76; Wright four for 55, Jupp four for 67), and in the second 212 for seven (Deed 75, Ashdown 64). Northamptonshire in the first innings made 334 (Bellamy 58, Jupp 94, Timms 82; Freeman four for 62) and in the second 153 (Bellamy 51: Ashdown four for 39, Freeman five for 54). Kent won by three wickets. Against Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire in the first innings made 433 (Payton 74, Barratt 55, Whysall 104; S. Staples 59; Mayer five for 100), and in the second 21 for no wickets. Warwickshire in the first innings made 157 (Croom 52) and followed on and made 296 (Bates 59, Wyatt 112). Notts won by ten wickets. Playing lor Leicestershire against Gloucestershire Dawson made 146. Shipman took five for 32. For Gloucestershire Dipper made 115. Hammond took five for 64, and Parker five for 65. Gloucestershire won. For Sussex against Worcestershire Langridge made 126, Arthur Gilligan 144. Bowley took five for 68, Wensley nine for 53. For Worcestershire Root took six for 135. Sussex won. For Somersetshire against Hampshire Rippon made 112, Young 92. Hunt took five for 28 and White six fo 35. Somersetshire won. For Durham against West Indies Dobson made 105. For the West Indies St. Hill made 101. The match was drawn.
