Stefan Karasiewiez was sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment in the Geelong Court, in connection with bank ncto forgeries. He is one of four men who were charged. The notes were passed on to bookmakers at the Knndwick anti Williamstown races. Later, Karasiewiez, a process engraver. was found printing the notes, in a lonely hut, and a foreign girl with whom he was living turned King’s evidence.
