SURPRISE PARTY
A surprise party of about 40 people visited Mrs. A. E. Taylor, of Vincent Road, Mount Albert, on Saturday, on the occasion of her birthday. The evening was spent in games, singing, and dancing, and excellent music was supplied by Miss A. Chamberlain. Mr. Chadderton received many encores for his humorous items. The guests were received by Mrs. Taylor, who wore black crepe de chine, with Oriental lace, and sequin trimMiss M. Taylor was in floral voile, with lace insets. Miss V. Taylor wore rose pink crepe de chine, with pink and silver sequins, and gold lace. Mrs. N. Chadderton was in green crepe de chine, with lace. Miss A. Chamberlain, navy blue silk, with lace panels. Miss S. Brown, blue velvet, with pink and silver relief. Miss M. White, cyclamen ivory silk, with mauve insets. Miss A. Witheridge, pink georgette, with sequins. Miss S. Hall, lavender satin. Miss E. Curran, pink taffeta, with mauve relief. Miss V. Shanks, sky-blue georgette, with silver lace. Miss C. Jansen, black pailette silk, with red rose. Miss N. Keen, red velvet and posy. Miss P. Witheridge, mauve georgette, with gold lace. Miss A. Shanks, coral pink georgette, with gold touches. Miss G. Curran, lace dress, with silver slip. Miss L. Shanks, red crepe de chine, with silver sequins. Miss N. Blundell, blue crepe de chine. Miss D. Shanks, green crepe de chine and posy. . „ , _ , ... Miss M. Blundell, kingfisher blue chiffon velvet, and georgette. Miss M. Anderson, blue crepe de chine, with silver relief.
