84TH BIRTHDAY
FIRST WHITE WOMAN AT TE PUKE Mrs. Sarah Crawford, the first white woman to setlte in the Te Puke distinct, celebrated her eighty-fourth birthday yesterday. A large number of her friends visited her in the afternoon to congratulate her. Mrs. Crawford, who enjoys excellent health, entertained her guests with stcyies of her early experiences in New Zealand and abroad.
