OFFICER RETIRES
STANDARD INSURANCE CO. NEW MANAGER APPOINTED Because of ill-health, Mr. H. T. H. Grave, J.P., has retired from the position of manager of the Auckland branch of the Standard Insurance Company. He has been succeeded by Mr. P. F. Coulthard, who for the past six years has held the position of chief clerk of the Auckland branch-of the New Zealand Insurance Company. He took over his new duties on June 1. Mr. Grave retired on superannuation and will live in Christchurch. In recognition of his work with the company the general manager and directors have granted him 12 months leave on full pay. Before leaving the office Mr. Scanlon, chief clerk, on behalf of the members of the staff, presented Mr. Grave with a beaten-copper fruit bowl.
