MAMAKU ROAD

FINISHED IN FEW WEEKS The Main Highways Board has 20 lorries engaged in the metalling work of the Mamaku Road, and the staff is shifting 200 yards of metal a day. This information was conveyed to the Auckland Automobile Association by Mr. M. H. Wynyard, motorists’ representative on the Main Highways’ Board, who received a wire yesterday from the engineer in charge of the work. It is Mr. Wynyard's opinion that the Mamaku Road will be metalled by the end of this month.
