OLD FIRE-STATION BURNED
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE Press Association NAPIER, To-day. Napier’s old fire-station was damaged by fire this morning, thte building only being saved by the good work of the brigade. The building was owned by the City Council and was insured for £BOO with the Alliance Co. Mr. J. Stewart occupied the lower floor as a garage and his plant, which was damaged beyond use, was insured for £4OO in the London office. The first floor, which was occupied by a shirt factroy escaped serious damage.
