BRITANNIA
“CHANG” “Chang,” a powerful drama of the jungle, will be shown to-night at the Britannia Theatre. “Always the jungle rose in its wrath and swallowed them.” Such is the tale of “Chang.” A story of man’s fight for existence, a flight that is life itself, stark, real, almost unbelievable. The little clearing becomes a home, the beasts are beaten off or killed, and then comes peace! For a day . . . perhaps for a month . . • perhaps a year? But not for long. Man is the intruder, fighting the jungle. From, the beginning until the end of time it. stretchest —the unconquered—the unconquerable. The film was actually taken in the dense jungle of Java, and has been described as the most remarkable picture even made.
A strong vaudeville programme will also be presented.
