Sir, — It was extremely kind of your correspondent, J. D. Reid, to make inquiries, on my account, to ascertain correctly what the three religious bodies, to which he refers, teach regarding the future destiny of the; human soul. Jasper Calder and the officers of the Salvation Army, and others, as workers in the cause ot humanity irrespective of their religions persuasion which, to my way of thinking, is not essential to acts of charity br the uplifting of mankind. Now, in regard to the question whether it clearly states in the Bibk that “man has an immortal soul.'' 1 must confess that I do not know, neither am I in the least interested to km* for, I do not accept the Bible as b«ir: anything more than a collection c: books written by man at dlfTerec: periods.
