EVIDENCE BEING HEARD SANATORIA VISITED Press Association DUNEDIN, Monday. The Tuberculosis Commission.—Dr. Fitchett (Dunedin), chairman, Dr. Eardley Fenwick (Wellington), and Dr. T. W. Johnson (Auckland) —began its investigations to-day, the proceedings being private. The Director-General of Health, Dr. T. H. A. Valentine, and the deputydirector, Dr. Watt, are also in Dunedin for the purpose of supplying information to the commission, but they do not participate in the deliberations. The Wakari Sanatorium, and the Dunedin Hospital were visited to-day, and evidence was heard from Dr. Lyth, medical director of tuberculosis institutions for Otago, and Dr. Thompson, medical superintendent of the hospital. The Palmerston and Waipiata sanatoria will be visited during the week.
