FIRE AT DEVONPORT
DWELLING BADLY DAMAGED OWNER ABSENT AT TIME Damage estimated at about £2OO was caused by a fire at the residence of Mr. H. Bond, Alexander Street, Devonport, at 9.45 this morning. The rear port ism of the dwelling, and the attached wash-house, were badly damaged before the alarm reached the Devonport brigade, which arrived promptly, and soon had the blaze under control. Mrs. Bond hact gone out for the morning, and the cause ef the fire is not. known.
