Kennedy took four wickets for 81. Marylebone, in its first innings, made 119 (Mer.cer taking eight wickets for 37). In its second innings, Marylebone scored 305 for five wickets (Brown 59, Barnes not out 90, Fenner 63). Marylebone won by five wickets. Nottinghamshire, in its first innings against Kent, made 555 for eight wickets, and declared. Gunn made 115, Why sail 96, Payton 103, Lilley 57. Kent's first innings yielded 164 (Woolley 58). Larwood took four wickets for 49. Kent followed on, and made 201 (Woolley 60). S. Staples took four wickets for 23. Notts won by an innings and 190 runs. Lancashire, in its first innings against Sussex, made 506 (Hallow's 303, E. Tyldesley 100). Sussex, in its first innings, made 272 (J. Parks 55, Tate 74). In its second innings, Sussex made 118. Macdonald took five wickets for 66. Lancashire won by an innings and 86 runs. Essex, in its first innings against Middlesex, made 133 (Hopkins not out 50). Durston took eight wickets for 40. In its second innings it made 436 (Bray 108, O'Connor 123, Russell not out 108). Middlesex, in its first innings made 236 (Haig 59, Hearne 100). Nicholls took five wickets for 78. In its second innings, Middlesex made 335 for six wickets (Lee 96. Hendren not out 109). O’Connor took four wickets for 62. Middlesex won by four wickets.
Yorkshire, in its first innings against Warwick, made 446 for six wickets and declared (Holmes 91, Sutcliffe 81, Mitchell 72, Rhodes not out 57, Robinson not out 56). In its second innings Yorkshire made 171 for four wickets. LEYLAND NOT OUT 57 Norwich, in its first innings, made 367 (Kilner 50, Smith 99, Parsons 81). • Yorkshire won on the first innings. Leicestershire, in its first innings against Surrey, made 280 (Shipman 51, Astill 64). In its second innings, Surrey made 253 (Geary 51). Surrey's first innings yielded 316 (Ducat 50, Jardine not out 73). Astill took four wickets for 54. In its second innings Surrey made 32 for no wickets, and won on the first innings. For Gloucester against Somerset Dipper made 121. Parker took six wickets for 82, and four for 50. For Somerset Case made 71. Gloucestershire won. For Northants against Derby, Bellamy made 76. Thomas took six wickets for 35. For Derby, Lee made 155, and took five wickets for 57. Northants won. For West Indies against Northumberland, Challenor made 146. Griffiths took six wickets for 32, and Neblett four for 31. West Indies won.
