TUAKAU SHEEPDOG TRIALS

The first annual trials held by the Tuakau Sheep Dog Trial Club were concluded yesterday. On eacll of the three days over which trials have extended,' there lias been a good atteifclance ‘ of spectators. Tlie results of the two events decided yesterday are as folow: * Zig-zag Huntaway (17 entri%s, possible points 45). —R. Hollis’s Tipperary,35 points,. 1: J. Staples’s Moss, 34 points, 2; M.. M. Scott’s Nell, 32 points, 3. Head., pull back, hold in ring, and huntaway (IS entries, possible points 50). —M. M. Scott’s Nell, 39 points, 3: R. Hollis’s Tipperary, 37 points, 2; M. M .Scott’s King, 36 points, 3. After the last event the judge. Mr. King, gave an exhibition of using a dog to pull sheep into the ring, drive them to the pen-sledge used for bringing them out oh to the paddock, .and pen them on the sledge again through the two-foot opening forming the door of the pen. This proved a very interesting finale to the clever work witnessed during the trials.
