ALL BLACK TEAM PICKED

SECOND GAME TO-DAY COMBINED CAPETOWN CLUBS (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association) CAPETOWN, Friday. The All Blacks will play the second match of their tour against Combined Capetown Clubs at Capetown tomorrow. The New Zealand team will be as follows: Lilburne Grenside Carleton RobfMiard Nicholls Johnson Dailey Scrimshaw Ward Stewart M. Brownlie Alley Finlayson Hadley Swain Harvey has injured his knee.

ANOTHER HEAVY PACK CARLETON DISPLACES LUCAS WARD AND ALLEY IN SCRUM The team for the second match cannot be considered one whit inferior to that which hoisted New Zealand colours to the top of the mast on Wednesday. The fact that there are only four changes all round, the men replaced being Lucas, McGregor, Harvey and Hazlett, while M. Brownlie takes his place after having to stand down from the first selection through an injured ankle, suggests that the tourists are not disposed to take risks. With Harvey out through an injured knee, Alley locks the scrum, and should do so effectively. Hadley and Swain, despite their relative failure as hookers, again go into the front row. It may b© one of the embarrassing problems of the tour that the best hooking force may not be obtained without the sacrifice of one or two of the best loose forwards. Ward, the slashing Taranaki packman, gets a game instead of Hazlett. On past form Ward may b© one of the outstanding forwards on the tour. Otherwise the pack is unaltered, and if anything is heavier than that which played on Wednesday. Among the backs the inclusion of Carleton and Johnson indicates the possibility that P. Ward poor handling by McGregor and Lucas may have upset things on Wednesday. It was hinted in the cable that some of the insides were at fault. Of the Auckland selections. Sheen and McWilliams hav© not yet stepped out. Possibly they will line out against the Griquas next Wednesday. The 1924 All Blacks made nine changes in the team for the Cornwall match, which followed Devon as the second match on the tour.
