EVERYBODY’S

“THE AIR PATROL” Those who enjoy having shivers running up and down their spine should see “The Air Patrol,” starring A 1 Wilson, shown at the Everybody s Theatre for the first time last night. This great epic of the clouds averages a thrill a second. There are tailspins, loops, a climb from one plane to another, tight spirals and a fight for life on the wing of a plane travelling 100 miles an hour—out of control! After fighting two huskies thousands of feet in the air, Wilson brings his plane back into position after falling many thousands of feet, and then lands safely, all for a girl. The plot concerns a Secret Service aviator, Wilson, who is ordered to break up a band of diamond smugglers using airplanes to bring their contraband into the country. He is hindered by the girl he loves because she suspects him of being a smuggler. He gets the upper hand by fighting it out with the band leader on the wing of a plane going 100 miles an hour, and the smuggler falls to his tjeath. On the same programme is also shown “ ’Neath Arctic Skies,” a picture of miracles disclosing hitherto unfilmed secrets of Alaska. It is a mighty drama of the elements —a sweeping spectacle of the land where Nature is Queen and puny Man must pay her homage—or die! An enjoyable musical programme is provided by Howard Moody’s Symphonic Orchestra, which plays as an overture “Somewhere a Voice is Calling.” (cornet solo, Mr. Arthur Harris). Miss Phyllis Hazell sang “A Summer Night” and “The Land of the Sky Blue Water.” Warner Brothers’ feature, “The Little Snobs,” has for its foundation the poor family who educated the daughter beyond their own sphere of life, and experienced many a heartpang bringing the spoilt one back to herself. May McAvoy plays the lead, with a strong supporting cast which includes Robert Frazer. Alec B. Francis, Virginia Lee <' orbin, John Mil jin, and Frances Lee.
